A family favorite and a couple twisted love stories hit the Chicago stage this week.

Chicago Shakespeare’s summer kids offering takes the best Seuss stories and translates them into a high-energy, zany musical. We’re ready for you, Cat in the Hat. The show runs through Sunday, Aug. 17.

The Qualms
Playwright Bruce Norris, of Pulitzer-winning Clybourne Park fame, is back at the Steppenwolf with an adventurous sex comedy about a group of partner-swapping pals. The show runs through Sunday, Aug. 31.

A doctor, a photographer, a writer and an exotic dancer find themselves in a messy, entangled love affair in Patrick Marber’s Tony-nominated drama. Bring the tissues. The show runs through Sunday, July 27.
