Today's Weather: Throwing Shade

So the National Weather Service tried to put the Fear of God into us Thursday by saying a polar vortex was returning to Chicago ... in July. Tom Skilling put that fear to rest and asked the NWS to use its wording better.
What is known is the weather this month has been amazingly pleasant so far and will continue with today's forecast. We have partly sunny skies, highs in the low 80s and a chance for thunderstorms late tonight.
For those of us holding tickets to see Willie Nelson at Ravinia Saturday pack rain gear. It's supposed to storm hard.
