Ministry's Al Jourgensen is helping us chase away the beginning-of-the-work-week-blahs by giving away remixes of his tunes as he announced Ministry Mondays beginning this week.
In a YouTube message to his fans, Jourgensen explains that a new remix will be available each Monday between now and Christmas if fans follow a few simple steps.
Like Alien Jourgensen and Ministry on Facebook, follow Al on Twitter and add a link to his website to your social media page or Web page, and you're in. The downloads are available on the site fans are asked to link to.
The first is a remix of "Hail to His Majesty," off Ministry's latest album, From Beer to Eternity. All the tracks from Ministry's last studio effort will be remixed and available for download. Remixed tracks from 2012's Relapse are expected to follow.
The first remixed track doesn't stray too far from the album version, but it isn't quite as heavy and loses most of the guitar track. It's fun and interesting and it's enough to get us looking forward to what's next. And hell, it's free, so who can complain?
This latest endeavor from Jourgensen continues what is shaping up to be busy summer for him. Earlier this month he announced a new musical project called DUBWEISER (insert facepalm), and threatened a new album and tour from this act. He's left his El Paso compound for Los Angeles and told fans he's split from his wife in a Facebook post.
Good old Unlce Al is full of surprises, isn't he?
