Chris Sale's stint on the disabled list earlier this year may be the best thing that happened to him this season. Sale shows no signs of wearing down in the thick of the schedule after Monday night's performance at 35th and Shields and is pitching his way into AL Cy Young Award consideration. The Sox ace improved to 9-1 on the season after a dominating outing where he struck out eight in seven innings and located 68 of his 106 pitches for strikes. Sale lowered his ERA to 2.03 in the process and received offensive support from Adam Dunn and Gordon Beckham.

The win improves the White Sox' record to 48-52 and kicks off 13 straight games against AL Central opponents. If the ballclub wants a shot at even a wild card berth they need to take care of business in their own division and this is a good start.
