Well, at least the Bears won. [More on that pre-season victory later]. Here's your double-loss morning box score:

Cubs 3, Rays 4

The Cubs getting Jacob Turner was at least some good news to report on Friday. The North Siders bats caught some heat early, but the Cubs, in typical fashion, couldn't quite capitalize on key scoring opportunities. They ultimately lost in the tenth inning. Javier Baez singled, scored on a run, then subsequently struck out four times. Give him time. Read more here.

Sox 1, Mariners 4

While the Cubs at least had hot hitting in the first inning of their game, the Sox could not claim the same. The Sox woes continued, and, with Friday's loss, they've now dropped six of their last seven games. Here's hoping for a turnaround tonight. More here.
