Chicagoist Weekend Theatre: Bongripper, Live at Logan Square Monument

Earlier this month, Chicago instrumental doom metal outfit Bongripper played the third day of Gnarfest, a DIY music gathering in its fourth year. Rest assured, though we didn't attend, it probably ripped. The band's new full-length, the three-song, hour-and-change Miserable is pure doom metal delight. You can see for yourself below, as footage of the band performing Miserable opener "Endless" at the Logan Square Monument surfaced yesterday. Since "Endless" is damn near 18 minutes long, that totally counts as a weekend theater pick, right? It does. Boom. Rock and roll, below:
