If there was going to be one picture perfect day of weather across Chicago, it would have to be the midweek. And both Skilling Central and Accuweather have ideal forecasts for us to get excited about today. These should be just perfect to fete the Jackie Robinson West Little League team.

In fact, you could call today's weather the eye of a storm, it's so calm. Expect drier air, highs in the mid-70s, plenty of sunshine and light winds from the northeast. Here at Chicagoist's Bridgeport headquarters the windows are open and the air conditioning is off, we're anticipating such good weather.

As we head into the evening some clouds will form and overnight lows will dip into the mid-60s. Come Thursday, rain returns with highs in the mid- to upper-70s, setting up what is expected to be a wet and muggy Labor Day holiday.
