ICYMI, last week we debuted a new series for Chicagoist. Each month, we’ll be introducing a new scientist to you. You’ll find out what brought them to the field, what their field of research is, and what’s new in that field. As we mentioned before, there are amazing things happening at the Field Museum every day.

For this installment, we introduced you to Ben Marks, who is the Head of Zoological Collections and Birds Collection Manager for the Field Museum. He told us about his lifelong interest in ecology and natural history, and his work in the tropical rain forests of Africa, where he still spends a month or two every year collecting specimens. If you need a refresher on his story, click here.

Now we need you. If you’re curious about a bird you’re seeing outside your window, on TV or just about anywhere, Ben’s your guy. So don’t be shy, and post your questions in the comments section. We’re excited to have him working with us to answer these questions, and we’re hoping to bring him some amazing questions from all of you. So get to work, because we’ll be choosing questions soon!
