Dennis Green Crowned The Bears' Asses Eight Years Ago

History is written by the winners, the adage goes. And the 1985 Bears have been writing their own story for 29 years. The 2006 Bears had an opportunity to match the Super Bowl Bears in championship glory, if not capture Chicago's collective attention, but they fell short on a rainy Sunday in Miami against the Indianapolis Colts.
Eight years ago today, the Bears pulled off an improbable 24-23 comeback win in Arizona. Arizona coach Dennis Green, sensing Lovie Smith's Bears squad wasn't the dominant force of Ditka's Super Bowl Shufflers and pissed his team lost a game they should have won, had an epic meltdown.
And the local media was ready to crown the Bears' collective ass by then.
