Recap: Chicagoist's 10 Year Anniversary Party

Now that we've had a few cups (or gallons) of coffee, we're able to flip through the photos and recall the somewhat hazy memories of last night's Chicagoist 10 year anniversary party. We packed Emporium Wicker Park with our current staff and alumni, Gothamist co-founder and Executive Editor Jen Chung, friends and you, dear readers, to celebrate a decade of Chicagoist. We've grown a lot since those early years but we're still having a lot of fun, as evidenced by last night.
Many special thanks are in order. First up, thank you to PBR, Sailor Jerry and Monkey Shoulder for sharing their tasty beverages with us. Thanks to DönerMen, Beavers Coffee & Donuts and Yum Dum for dishing up some delicious grub and to Salsa Truck for dropping off some chips and salsa for us to snack on between pinball battles. Thanks to Bill Guerriero for capturing all the fun for us, and to Daniel Wade and Matt Roan for the awesome soundtrack all evening long.
We were so happy to partner up with 826CHI for our charity raffle and thank them for all the wonderful work they do. Much gratitude to the businesses that offered up donations for our raffle: Revolution Brewing, Rhine Hall, Moody Tongue Brewing Co., Marz Community Brewing, Maria's Packed Goods & Community Bar, PBR, Sailor Jerry, moto, Bang Bang Pie Shop, Jackalope Coffee & Tea House, Twisted Scissors, Pete's Barber Shop, Early to Bed, Women & Children First Bookstore, Saki, author Rob Christopher, Double Door and Santullo's, Empty Bottle and Bite, Dusek's/Punch House and Thalia Hall, Kingston Mines and Joffrey Ballet.
Thanks to everyone who purchase raffle tickets and congratulations to the winners. Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $700 to benefit 826CHI!
Thanks to Emporium for letting us set up shop, they were wonderful hosts for the evening. And last but not least, thanks to all of you who came out and joined us in our joyous celebration. Many drinks were had, we cut a rug, ate some delicious food, bid on some kick-ass raffle prizes and made a lot of excellent memories. Here's to many more.
