Today's Weather: Test Your Base Layer

Wasn't it only two days ago when we were enjoying shorts weather? Only the brave and silly would declare today's forecast that. It's a bit cloudy right now and that seems to be the only facet of the weather Skilling Central and Accuweather differ. Skilling Central calls for more clouds throughout the day, chilly winds from the west and a high in the upper 40s. Accuweather calls for partly sunny skies here at Chicagoist's Bridgeport headquarters.
Again, it was in the upper 70s Monday.
The clouds will thicken overnight and possibly bring some showers with them, setting the table for more chilly temps on Thursday.
