History was the theme when the Blackhawks unveiled the jerseys the team will wear in the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic. The Hawks revealed the jerseys at their team store on North Michigan Avenue Wednesday evening.
The jerseys are inspired by the team's 1957 model, with a lace-up front and the team's secondary logos (the crossed tomahawks over a large "C") overlapping the top two stripes on each sleeve.
This is the second Winter Classic for the Blackhawks. They participated in the second game in the annual series against the Detroit Red Wings New Year's Day 2009 at Wrigley Field.
And here is a look at the jersey the Capitals will wear.
