Chicagoist Weekend Theater: Siskel And Ebert Talk 'Hoop Dreams'

Earlier today, we mentioned that Hoop Dreams was set to screen next month at the Gene Siskel Film Center as part of special 20th anniversary restoration. Of course, both Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert played huge parts in bringing the film to popular consciousness. Below, you can watch two videos of Siskel and Ebert hyping the film. The first segment is their original review; the second segment talks about the film as one of that year's best; and the third lays out the context for Hoop Dreams Oscar snub.
