The new Chicagoist office manager may have reached her breaking point with the weather as she curled into a ball in front of the fireplace after our morning walk. After reminding her it was only November, I assured her things will improve in a few hours and the forecasts from Skilling Central and Accuweather bear that out. Those of you with deep-seated chills in your bones may like an expected high near freezing but that will be mitigated somewhat by partly sunny skies. But it won't be as cold tonight as the mercury will only drop into the mid-20s, along with a chance for some freezing rain.
Precipitation will stay with us throughout the weekend, but it will truly warm up around here with highs Saturday near 50 degrees. Stomp in any puddles you find.
