Don't Panic: Snow Is Here

By Chuck Sudo in News on Nov 24, 2014 5:30PM

What a difference a few hours makes. This morning my dog enjoyed a balmy yet wet walk in McGuane Park courtesy of the remaining of Sunday's weather and now it is blustery and cold. The phrase "in like a lion, out like a lamb" usually refers to March weather; in Chicago that can mean the changing weather patterns in a space of minutes. Not only is it snowing, the temperatures have dropped 15 degrees from when we started our posting day.

The snow will stay with us the rest of the day (the northern parts of the area could see three inches) while the winds will gust up to 40 mph, which will cause some difficulty with visibility on area roads through at least 2 p.m. Bundle up and prepare to stay dry—this is a wet snow.
