Today's Weather: In Like A Lion

Welcome back, everyone! We hope your Thanksgiving was full of vim, vigor, vino and verve because, as Merle Haggard once sang, if we make it through December we'll be fine. We're kicking off the final month of 2014 with some cold weather and strong winds. Get a double espresso to warm your bones and dog owners break out the sweaters for your pals this morning. The highs are expected to reach the mid-20s but the winds will peter out by the time afternoon rolls around.

The mercury will rebound Tuesday with highs in the mid-30s, gradually increasing to the lower 40s by the weekend. But we're closer to meteorological winter than autumn. Let's look at the bright side. We're now closer to spring.
