2014_12_4_barrelbrawllogo.png Homebrewers across Chicago have made the jump from amateur beer makers to professional brewers and become an integral part of the growth of Chicago's craft beer scene. See what homebrewers are set to make the jump Dec. 13 at the third annual Bubbly Creek Barrel Brawl at The Plant.

Hosted by Homebrewers Pride of the Southside, this event is judged both by the public and accredited beer judges and the winning beer will be brewed at a soon-to-be announced brewpub. This year's event will be limited to 30 entries in a wide variety of styles. (If you're a homebrewer and interested in participating in the contest, email the organizers here.)

Proceeds from the event will support The Plant's ongoing efforts to build a vertical farming community in the New City neighborhood. Purchase your tickets here. The Plant is located at 1400 W. 46th St. The Bubbly Creek Barrel Brawl runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
