Protests in Chicago about the lack of indictment in the Eric Garner case, as well as unaccountable police violence in general, continued for a second day in a row.
Protestors were reportedly smaller in number--"a racially diverse crowd of around 60", according to the Sun-Times--but still took to the streets for several hours. Detractors and supporters alike voiced their opinions of the protestors, including, surreally enough, Santa Claus. [He was a supporter.] At least three protestors were arrested, including, according to one activist, a 13-year-old.
Reporters Tony Briscoe, Ashlee Rezin, and Sarah Jindra, amongst many others, were there to document the scene. Also there was Chicagoist Flickr contributor Regan Scott, who snapped this remarkable pic:
Imagine what the conversation was between these two.
