Pencil This In: Nashville Pussy Plays Reggies

With songs titled "Go, Motherfucker, Go," "Keep on Fuckin'," "Rub it to Death" and "Hate and Whiskey" it doesn't take a Mensa member to figure out the themes in Nashville Pussy's rollicking brand of hard rock. The band has had a revolving door lineup over the years but the foundation remains the husband-and-wife team of singer-guitarist Blaine Cartwright and lead guitarist Ruyter Suys. Cartwright's vocals walk a line between Bon Scott era AC/DC and greasy Southern rock while Suys' fretwork in a live setting is mesmerizing.
Nashville Pussy is touring with Valient Thorr and Against the Grain and the tour stops at Reggies Rock Club for an 18+ show 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12. Advance tickets are $13 and available online. If you wait until the night of the show, the admission is $18. (2105 S. State St.)
