Her name is "Luna." That was the name fans of Shedd Aquarium's baby sea otter formerly known as "Pup 681" will now be called. "Luna" was the winning name from over 10,000 votes cast. the announcement was made live on ABC's "Good Morning America" this morning. The other choices were Cali, Ellie, Poppy and Ana.

"Luna" was inspired by Half Moon Bay, where she was rescued by staff from Monterey Bay Aquarium in California in September. She weighed less than 6 pound when she arrived at Shedd Aquarium in late October. Luna now receives around-the-clock care and weighs 11 pounds and is diving, foraging for food, grooming on her own.

Luna will make her public debut next spring at Shedd's Regenstein Sea Otter habitat.
