Police Seek Suspects In Attack Of Elderly Man On Blue Line

By Chuck Sudo in News on Dec 12, 2014 4:00PM

Smartphones, social media and dumbassery don't mix. The latest example of this Greek Chorus of Idiocy: Chicago Police and community activists are looking for three young men responsible for an assault on an elderly man on the Forest Park branch of the CTA Blue Line. A third individual recorded the assault and posted it to YouTube and Facebook.

The video shows the two men slapping and poking at the man and laughing all the way. And they're obviously proud of what they did because they made sure to let the person recording the video get clear shots of their faces. The victim in the assault (and this is an assault) didn't file charges but Chicago Police have opened an investigation and CTA has provided police with security camera footage.
