Morning Box Score: Rose Scores Big In Bulls Win Over Portland

Bulls 115, Trail Blazers 106

After making a slow, steady return to the court after his latest injury, Derrick Rose finally bloomed Friday night, scoring a season-high 31 points and lifting the Bulls to a win over the Portland Trail Blazers. (Maybe it was the Obama vote of confidence?)

Rose went 14-for-24 during the game, and the Bulls, despite absences from Joakim Noah and Doug McDermott, were able to hold off red-hot performances from Trail Blazers LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard. (The latter scoring 35 points, a season-high for him.)

The Bulls' Pau Gausol scored his eighth straight double-double, and players Nikolai Mirotic and Aaron Brooks both put up double-digits scores as well. The Bulls only committed seven turnovers, had a considerable bench point advantage, and out-rebounded the Blazers by a margin of ten.
