Weekend Playlist: Music For The Holidays That Doesn't Suck

By Sophie Day in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 13, 2014 5:00PM

With the Christmas season starting earlier and earlier each year, we are here to keep you sane. Holiday music seems to start closer to Halloween, and, quickly, becomes inescapable. It's enough to drive you nuts!

As of this weekend, we are about halfway through the last month of the year, and as such, it is likely that some of you are already getting burned out on the old standards. The playlist this weekend will have some new versions of classics that you probably haven't heard, and a ton of original Christmas songs to offer some variety to the mix. Weighing in at thirty-nine songs, with a run time over two hours, this should offset the routinized mix rather nicely.

Whether you're a sentimental sap or a cynical Grinch, this list is bound to have something for you!
