The Music Box Theatre's annual holiday double feature of It's a Wonderful Life and White Christmas has grown into a behemoth December event. But what about those of us who don't want to sing along to "Sisters" with Rosemary Clooney and Vera Allen, or hiss whenever Lionel Barrymore's evil Mr. Potter is onscreen? What double feature is for us who aren't tugged at the heartstrings by Irving Berlin or Frank Capra?

Thankfully, the Music Box has us covered with an alternative double feature of Home Alone and Die Hard Wednesday, Dec. 17 and Monday, Dec, 22. A mere $10 gets you into both films. On Wednesday, Home Alone screens first at 6 p.m., followed by Die Hard at 8 p.m. The lineup shifts on the 22nd with Die Hard at 6:15 p.m. followed by Home Alone at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are available online as of post time; start practicing your "Merry Christmas, you filthy animal" and "Yippie-kai-yay, motherfucker" quotes now. (3733 N. Southport Ave.)
