Exclusive Video Premiere: Pelican 'Deny The Absolute'
By Tankboy in Arts & Entertainment on Dec 17, 2014 5:30PM
Pelican doesn't rush, that's for sure. The largely instrumental Chicago metal band is finally releasing a video for "Deny The Absolute" from 2013's Forever Becoming, just in time to get out there before the band releases a new EP in early 2015. That new 4-song collection will feature a new vocal version and remixes of "The Cliff" off Forever Becoming, as well as a new track, "The Wait." So hopefully this video will help hold you over until the new stuff comes out.
The footage in "Deny The Absolute" was captured and edited by Kenneth Thomas using footage from the band's West Coast tour last summer.
Does the video make you hungry for one of Pelican's bone rattlingly tremendous live sets? You're in luck! The band's been quiet lately but Pelican has a headlining show with The Life and Times and Pinebender set for New Year's Eve at Subterranean. Tickets are still available and the party kick off on Dec. 31 is at 8 p.m.
