Story Sessions has grown to become one of the best and most popular storytelling events in Chicago and producers Jill Howe and Rachael Smith have teamed up with Pivot Arts for a holiday-themed event 8 p.m. tonight at Uncommon Ground Devon, which is an intimate space to do a live lit event.

Story Sessions veterans Alan Neff and Jeremy Owens will grace the stage along with Ike Holter, Sharon Lanza, Mia McCullough, Tanya Palmer, and Julie Ganey to share their tales of harrowing holiday experiences. The duo River Rising, which has provided haunting music for WBEZ's "Pleasuretown" podcast, will handle musical duties throughout.

Admission is $10 and you may want to reserve a table for dinner at Uncommon Ground, while you're at it. To do that call 773-465-9801. (1401 W. Devon Ave.)
