Pencil This In: Windy City Rollers Season Opener At UIC Pavilion

The Windy City Rollers roller derby league kicks off its new season at UIC Pavilion 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19. The league, now in operation for a decade, shows no signs of stopping in the city where roller derby first originated as a sport.

Tomorrow's matches feature the Double Crossers against Hell's Belles, and the Fury challenge the Manic Attackers. Tickets ($20-$35) are available at Ticketmaster or at the UIC Pavilion box office. (525 S. Racine Ave.)
