If you are one of the many tired masses returning to Chicago after surviving a week or so with those genetically related to you, welcome home and we're sure you could use a stiff drink. Need a reason to cut loose tonight? Well, first off it's the perfect Sunday night to go out because let's be honest, not much is getting done in any office between now and 2015. So tomorrow's hangover won't hurt as bad, we promise. We're sure it will at least sting less than having to answer for the umpteenth time questions from your distant cousin/great-aunt/grandmother regarding your martial/employee/parental status.

Thankfully The Burlington has a triple bill this evening of local acts that will help you dance yourself clean as you start the countdown to 2015. We've long been fans of Celine Neon, the electro-pop duo with two powerhouse sets of pipes, playful lyrics and the ability to laugh at life and themselves. Recently Chicago writer Britt Julious gave them her stamp of approval over at the Tribune, claiming the band is "as exciting off stage as on," which is reason enough to catch them in person this evening. Full disclosure, I've known Maggie and Emily before the days of Celine Neon and I can attest that the two of them bring a wave of playful energy to the stage, so expect a solid set from them tonight.

To add to the evening rapper Blake, who had one of the more adorably campy videos of the year, is also on the bill as well as vocalist Dre Green, another local artist who first caught our eye thanks to another piece from Julious. So get ahead of the curve and check out some of the up and coming local acts while blowing off some holiday steam. We'll see you on the dance floor.

Celine Neon, Blake and Dre Green play The Burlington (3425 W. Fullerton Ave) tonight, Dec. 28 at 9 p.m. The show is 21+ and cover is $7.
