Extra Extra: Four Rescued In Loop Construction Site Accident

- Four construction workers were rescued this morning after an I-beam collapsed at a construction site at Lake and Canal streets. Three of the workers were seriously injured and taken to local hospitals. The fourth worker, who was less seriously injured, was also taken to a local hospital, where his condition has stabilized. - Police announced that a clanging pot was mistaken for shots fired at Chicago Ridge Mall Saturday night, which after a fight broke out in the food court led to hundreds of people fleeing the mall, evacuations and early closure. [Tribune]
