Chicagoist Weekend Theater: Ebertfest 2014 Documentary
By Jon Graef in Arts & Entertainment on Jan 4, 2015 8:00PM
Our first weekend theater pick for 2015 is a 15-minute documentary about last year's Ebertfest, which was the 16th year for the annual film festival started by legendary Chicago film critic Roger Ebert. The film festival takes place in Ebert's hometown of Urbana-Champaign. The documentary is a fly-on-the-wall look at the festival, and includes interviews with Wadjda director Haiffa Al-Mansour, director Jem Cohen, and Oliver Stone, amongst many others.
Also: don't forget that Life Itself, the critically acclaimed documentary about Ebert's life, airs tonight on CNN. Watch this, then that, for your weekend theater needs.
