Nico's Reserve Bar Time Travels To The 1920s And '30s

Nico's gorgeous second floor reserve bar takes a trip back in time Thursday, Jan. 8 as Head Bartender Matty Eggleston serves a special menu of cocktails from The Grand Hotel Ritz in Paris in the 1920s and '30s. It's the first in a series called "No Key Required" where Eggleston explores the legacy and influence of hotel bars around the world by serving their classic cocktails and his own riffs on them.

The Classics
Belle Aurore (Beautiful Dawn): 1929 Cognac, Creme de Cacao, Gin and Pernod

Pompadour 1930: Jamaican Rum, Pineau de Charentes and Lemon

Extase Volupteuse (Voluptuous Ecstasy):1928 Gin, Cream, Benedictine, Cherry Liqueur and Champagne over crushed ice

Spa Water: Mint, Aloe Vera, Cucumber and Absinthe

Writer's Block: Almond, Rose, Citron, Saffron and Burnt sugar
