Pioneering House music DJ Frankie Knuckles would have turned 60 Sunday and fellow House legend Derrick Carter has amassed an all-world lineup of DJs to celebrate Knuckles' life starting 10 p.m. Sunday night at SmartBar.

Headlining the evening are New York City DJs David Morales, Tony Humphries, and Louie Vega, aka the "Kings of House." Carter and frequent SmartBar residents Garrett David and Michael Serafini will give the Kings of House some breaks. Joining them all is special guest and Knuckles' longtime collaborator, Jamie Principle.

Thankfully for folks attending, government offices and schools will be closed to honor Martin Luther King's birthday, so you can stay out until thee break of dawn. And with this lineup, even past that; the hashtag #noschoolmonday is being used to promote the event. (3730 N. Clark St.)
