Bulls' Value Keeps Increasing

By Chuck Sudo in News on Jan 21, 2015 10:30PM

The Bulls are still big business nearly 17 years since the Jordan Era-squad won their last NBA Title. Forbes magazine released its annual list of the NBA’s most valuable franchises and the Bulls trail only the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks atop the list.

The Bulls estimated value is $2 billion. Last year the Bulls earned $201 million versus an operating income of $65 million. They led the league in average attendance for a fifth straight year and new national broadcasting deals with ESPN/ABC and TNT increased the average value of every team in the NBA by 74 percent. The Lakers are valued at $2.6 billion and the Knicks are at $2.5 billion. And those two teams suck on the court so imagine how the Bulls’ value would increase if they weather their current woes and go into a deep playoff run.
