Do This: Arami Brings In Guest Chef Shin Thompson To Cook Up Some Ramen

By Melissa McEwen in Food on Jan 21, 2015 8:30PM

Before Shin Thompson's Kabocha closed, it developed a devoted cult following around the ramen served only at the bar. It's fitting he'd devote his next restaurant, Furious Spoon, to ramen, but you don't have to wait until it opens to try his noodles. On Tuesday Jan. 27 from 5 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. at Arami, Thompson will be in the kitchen for Noodle Night making shoyu and cha-sui miso ramen for $10 a bowl.

Arami's chef Despres will also offer a special curry spiced stewed clam udon for $14 and there will be specials on Asahi Japanese beer and Arami's custom-brewed sake. Reservations are recommended.
