Pencil This In: The Paper Machete Turns 5!

The Paper Machete, Christopher Piatt's weekly show featuring original readings from journalists, local storytellers, comedians and other performers, celebrates five years of entertaining Chicagoans this Saturday with a lineup of Machete veterans taking the stage at Green Mill.

Featured performers include Samantha Irby, Bran Einstein and Gary Pascal, Ike Holter, Machete co-creator Ali Klinger, Kim Bellware and Patrick Rowland. Bill Larkin will perform musical comedy and musical guests are Jonas Friddle and the Majority. Longtime Machete mainstay Chad the Bird will also make his presence felt.

It all begins at 3 p.m. Jan. 24 at Green Mill (4802 N. Broadway) and it's free. (Donations are accepted.)
