Music Video Of The Day: Alkaline Trio 'Mercy Me'

Yesterday was a big day for Chicago musician Matt Skiba. The news broke that Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge is taking a break from the group "indefinitely" (good thing we caught the band at Riot Fest a few years ago).

Obviously many 20-something hearts were crushed. But fear not nostalgic Blink fans, Matt Skiba is here to save the day! It was announced the band will carry on with Skiba for some upcoming dates. No word yet how long or how else Skiba will collaborate with the group. And rest easy, Alkaline Trio fans, the remaining members of Blink promise this won't interfere with Skiba still creating and touring music with Alkaline Trio. Phew.

To celebrate, we're enjoying some older cuts from Alkaline Trio's catalog. Congrats, Matt!
