Details for Ernie Banks' funeral and public visitation were announced Monday, in addition to the public memorial to the Cubs Hall of Famer at Daley Plaza.

The public visitation will run from noon until 8 p.m. Jan. 30 at Fourth Presbyterian Church (126 E. Chestnut St.). Banks' funeral will take place 10 a.m. Jan. 31, on what would have been "Mr. Cub's" 84th birthday. There will be limited public seating available for the funeral. So if you want to pay your respects to Banks, Friday is the best time to do it.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cubs Charities. A public memorial for Banks, featuring his bronze statue that normally resides outside Wrigley Field, will be set up at Daley Plaza from Wednesday through Saturday.

Banks died last Friday of a heart attack at age 83.
