Today's Weather: Iced Earth

Spike your coffee and stretch a bit longer and harder this morning; it is freezing out there. that's usually the tradeoff after we get some snow around here and the frozen chickens have come home to roost today. As we type this the official temperature at O'Hare is minus 1 and we should see highs in the mid-teens today. The wind chill is making it feel like minus 13 outside. If you're walking a dog, make sure their paws are protected. Between the salt and the now crunchy snow, it can be painful for Man's Best Friend out there. Trust us.
The mercury won't dip much lower than the forecast highs tonight because we're due for a warmup heading into the weekend. With those temps will come plenty of melting snow, so make sure you keep your feet dry.
