The balmy weekend temps have Chicago's streets resembling a filthy, malfunctioning Slushee machine this morning, and today's forecast will only compound matters as steady winds shift to the northeast and send temps plunging below the current mild levels this afternoon. Combined with a mix of standard and freezing rain, the streets could get icy, so be careful out there if you're traveling.

Expect some snow tonight ahead of a chilly start to the work week as well.
