Do This: Brunch With La Colombe At La Sirena Clandestina

On Sunday Feb. 22, brunch at La Sirena Clandestina (954 W. Fulton Market) will be taken over by La Colombe coffee. Chefs John Manion and Mark Steuer have put together a menu featuring coffee from the popular specialty coffee roaster in both sweet and savory dishes. Dishes include coffee glazed doughnuts with dark chocolate milk for dipping and a carbonara with house-made tagliatelle topped with a coffee poached egg.

Brown butter crepes: coffee mascarpone, fried bananas, candied walnuts
Coffee french toast: whipped ricotta, coffee caramel
Affogato espresso, buttermilk gelato, la colombe infused rum

Savory

Coffee cured foie gras torchon: brioche, blood orange preserves
Cocoa nib granola espresso yogurt, winter citrus
Carbonara tagliatelle, bacon, cippolini onion, coffee poached egg
Coffee braised pork belly: cornbread, fried egg, herb salad
Coffee spiced prawns: creamed poblanos, poached egg, grilled flatbread, hot sauce
Coffee smoked whitefish, house everything bagel, traditional accompaniments
Root vegetable, red eye gravy, polenta, poached eggs, salsa verde
Brunch board: focaccia, coffee & oxtail marmalade, herbed ricotta, local butter, oven dried tomatoes, green salad

The La Colombe Takeover menu happens Sunday, Feb. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended.
