We were wishing for some snow shoes to tamp down the crunchy, frozen snow outside during our morning walk. Hopefully things will soften, if not melt, as we move forward. Expect highs near 30 degrees with periods of sunshine through the morning before the clouds thicken again this afternoon, bringing with it a possible wintry mix of precipitation.

The snow and mild weather continues Wednesday before the deep freeze begins again Thursday.
