This Week In Chicago Food Porn: Lemon Pie, Matcha Lattes And Chowder

We always love heading to Publican Quality Meats to peruse their take home dessert selections because they allow us to have treats made by our favorite pastry chefs like Dana Cree, Anna Shovers and Anna Posey. Posey's bright yellow lemon chocolate pie caught our eye on Twitter and we can't wait to give it a try.

Another sweet treat that looks great is the Greek melomakarona, which are honey cookies, from Greek Corner Cafe in Ukrainian Village.

Matcha is a type of tea that makes a beautiful and delicious ingredient to many different drinks and dishes. At Ramen-San they've created a vibrantly green creamy latte to showcase it.

Wednesday, Feb. 25 is apparently National Clam Chowder day (who knew?), but you don't need to wait to be tantalized by the picture from GT Fish & Oyster of their rendition made with fresh clams, Nueske’s applewood smoked bacon and potatoes.

And of course we love Yusho's creative ramens. This week we were tempted by their chicken and beer ramen that's topped with a scotch egg, shiso (a Japanese herb that tastes a little like beef), beer mustard, fried garlic and togarashi.
