As any true Chicagoan knows, finding the right giardiniera to top your Italian beef sandwiches is one of the core components to eating right. Whether you’re the type to add some fire or you're just looking for a mild kick, few things transform otherwise bland meals quite like that mix of hot peppers, carrots, celery and cauliflower. While some bottle their own spicy treat, the rest of us are relegated to store shelves and restaurants in our search for the perfect match.

A new website hopes to simplify our quest for the perfectly-kicking condiment. EatGiardiniera.com launched last month and claims to be “taste-testing [its] way to giardiniera nirvana.” Though the site is still a work in progress, it’s worth checking out for the extensive list of local giardinieras, purchase info and reviews. From Antonio’s Giardiniera’s mild and vaguely sweet taste to Roma’s crisp blend, there’s something for virtually everyone.

So, while the weather might be cold, that shouldn’t stop us from kicking up the condiment heat. Check out EatGiardiniera.com today.
