At least the sun is out, for now. But the clouds will ensure it plays peek-a-boo most of the day with the fiery ball of gas in the sky. The main story, weather wise, is the temperature. Skilling Central's official reading as of post time is 4 degrees, which means we're already near the forecast high of 7. The best, however, is yet to come. The Chicago area will be under a wind chill advisory from 6 p.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday. Coupled with a dive in the mercury readings after sunset and we could see wind chill values reaching 30 below. Long johns are in order tonight.

We're still on target to break a record low temp early Thursday morning before a brief warming trend arrives for the weekend.
