Today's Weather: Springboard

You may be tempted to shed some layers today, seeing as how we're due to receive some light snow this afternoon and the highs will reach 20 degrees. Keep them nearby,if you do because you'll need them again by Sunday.
Today and Saturday will be blips on the radar as the Chicago area remains deep in the throes of an arctic freeze through at least the end of next week. Then things will return to something resembling normal again.
