Founded in 1985, Dance Mania successfully documented the rise of ghetto house music in the '90s most associated with Chicago's West Side (along with other emerging sub-genres like footwork and techno).

The label went quiet after 2001 but founders Ray Barney and Victor Parris Mitchell announced in 2013 they'd be starting up operation again thanks in part to house music's continued popularity overseas.

Mitchell will be spinning a set at Logan Arcade Wednesday night along with signature Dance Mania artists like Paul Johnson, DJ Lil' Tal and Traxman. Expect drink specials and giveaways as well.

This event is free and starts at 9 p.m. Logan Arcade is located at 2532 W. Fullerton Ave.
