It looks as though we're closing out February as we opened it—with a lot of snow. Five inches of fresh powder were recorded at O'Hare as of 6 a.m. and the morning forecast calls for another 1-2 inches. And we're already at the predicted high temp for the day. After that, it's going to get cold so shovel your sidewalks and gangways now before you hibernate.

There's a chance for some subzero lows while we sleep and it will stay cold Friday with highs in the mid-teens. The weekend should be pleasant, especially Sunday, with a high in the 30s and a chance for more snow.
