Extra Extra: CHIditarod Condemns Team That Wore Blackface, Issues Apology

- A few racist morons at the annual CHIditarod race this weekend decided it was ok to wear blackface as part of their team theme. CHIditarod issued a statement today and apologized for the handling of the unexpected situation during the race and condemned the actions of the team. We think Brandon Wall over at the Sun-Times puts it best: "Stop. Wearing. Blackface. You. Idiots. It is literally never okay." [Sun-Times]
- A 52-year-old woman has been taken into custody in connection with the death of a 9-month-old girl in Little Village. The infant's neck was slashed with a circular saw. [Sun-Times]
