Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Were you one of those mainlining the full first season of Unbreakable Kimmy Scmidt when the Netflix only series went live last weekend? If so, we bet you still have the theme song stuck in your head. The tune is a parody—of sorts—of the Gregory Brothers remix and auto-tuning of a 2010 news interview with Antoine Dodson.

When series creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock and series producer (and husband to Mrs. Fey) Jeff Richmond went looking for co-writers to help create the Kimmy Schmidt theme, it made sense that they turned to the Gregory Brothers for help. The result is a song that deftly sets up the background of the central character to telegraph the series premise at the open of each show, which is frankly something many television themes fail to do now, while also serving as a sharp critique on the insta-remix 24-hour news cycle that feeds on stories like the fictional Schmidt's. All while staying funny, which is no minor feat.

If you've found yourself hooked on the short version of the song that opens the show, we think you're really going to like the full length version even better.
