Weekend Playlist: Sweet Pi Day Jams

By Sophie Day in Arts & Entertainment on Mar 14, 2015 6:00PM

Happy Pi Day everyone! Today, March 14, is the day that corresponds to the first three digits of the numerical value of pi (π). But this isn't just any old Pi Day. This year, the date matches pi's first five digits—3.1415!

Many people may remember celebrating Pi Day in school at some point in their childhood. Pi represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. Some people go crazy for the formula. Here's Nerdist's and @Midnight's Chris Hardwick reciting Pi to more than 100 decimal points.

In honor of this once-in-a-century occurrence, our playlist this weekend features seven songs about another kind of pie, the yummy kind where no one is counting how many slices you've had.
